Quality Assurance Technician
Job Description:
- Full-time, hourly position, reporting directly to Quality Assurance Manager.
- Performs duties of incoming, in-process and/or final inspection of raw materials, added-value materials and finished goods, respectively.
- Maintains records of inspections.
- Authorizes shipment of product.
- Compiles data into reports for review by management and/or customers.
- Performs additional work, as assigned by management.
Work Experience Requirements:
- Prior use of calipers, micrometers, height gauges (CMM and vision systems exp. preferred)
- Ability to interpret drawings and/or blueprints (CAD exp. preferred)
- Prior use of SPC; understanding of TQM, GMP and ISO/QS 9000 principles
- Computer proficiency
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under time restraints
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Education Requirements:
- Associate of Science degree
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Must read, write and speak English (bilingual Spanish and/or Polish a plus, however)
