Sales Development Engineer
Plitek L.L.C. is a globally recognized Custom Converter and Manufacturer of plastics, films, foams, adhesives plus a recognized leader in the Point of Purchase Packaging Markets.
Located in the Chicago area we have an excellent career opportunity for a Sales Development Engineer to provide engineering and customer support while training internally to join our outside field sales force.
Job Summary:
Primary job responsibilities include project coordination, customer engineering, product/project development, and product market/development.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engineering: Quotes, RFQ's, Design, and Project Coordination.
Assist customers and sales team in the development of their key projects.
Assist Sales & Marketing in the identification of key business opportunities.
Handle incoming customer projects and questions via the phone, in person, and/or customer visits.
Assist engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and purchasing in all aspects of current and new projects.
Advancement into an outside sales position can be considered as future opportunities.
Qualifications:
BA, BS, Technical Degree or 3-5 years Technical Sales experience.
Good computer skills.
Experience/training with Cad.
Self Motivated proactive attitude with good communication skills.
Occasional travel required.
